World War 1 Gallipoli Fight [ANZAC Day]

In World War 1 ( WW1 ) 1915 New Zealand and Australian troops landed at Gallipoli in Turkey.
Our troops landed at Anzac Cove but that was not where they were supposed to land so they had to
climb up a very steep hill and the enemies where already at the top waiting for us.  A lot of our soldiers died climbing up the hill.  So we made trenches to protect ourselves from any amo that was fired.  A lot of our men suffered from sicknesses like:  trench foot, hair lice and body lice.
Trench foot was one of the common sickness.  Trench foot is when your feet start rotting and you have to cut them off.  Our troops stayed in the trenches for 8 months, eating the same food every day and always being smelly.  The food they ate were caned food and dry biscuits.  During the war the women sent the men ANZAC Biscuits with a letter to them.  Every time at dawn the soldiers had to get up to fight so early.  The Turks were on the other side of the trench.  If  any man went in the middle of the two trenches they would be shot straight away.  That's why its called no mans land.
Sadly, a lot of our men died because of sicknesses and some got shot in no mans land.  If anybody got shot in no mans land your troops couldn't of buried their body.  Another fact was if you pocked your head or any part of the body out you would either die or get wounded.  New Zealand and Australia  lost World War 1 to the Turks the Germans.  Our Allies won there war against Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary and the Turks.  Their group was called Central Power.  Even though our Allies won a lot of their soldiers lost their lives.  So that's why we remember ANZAC day as a very sad day.  Now we have dawn services in New Zealand,Australia and at Anzac Cove in Turkey.

LEST WE FORGET.
