Class Newsletter Term 4, Week 8

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend despite this incredibly muggy weather that we are not used to yet.  We are quickly arriving at the end of the school year.  There are lots of events coming up in the next few weeks, so please keep an eye out for my emails and the notices your child is bringing home so you stay in the loop.

The sun is out in full force now (even on the overcast days) and there are arms, legs and faces getting burnt.  Before your child comes to school, make sure they put some sunblock on and then have some in their bag that they can reapply before going outside for lunch as they are out in the sun for an hour.  In the afternoons, we are often doing sport too, so it's a total of 2 hours they are out and exposed.

If you are able to supply some sunblock for Room 3 to use it would be greatly appreciated as we need to be looking after ourselves in the sun.

Here are the details for the upcoming week:

Monday

Sport (bring sports gear)
- Sailing trip for Arial, Aaron, Isobel, Yvonne, Annalise and Jasmine (be at school before 8:30am)

Tuesday

Sailing trip for the remaining Room 3 children.  Please arrive at school before 8:30am in school uniform.  In your bag, have togs, towel, mufti clothes, sunblock and towel.
Sport (bring sports gear)

Wednesday
- Year 5 Choir trip (Golden Age 10:00 - 12:00pm)

Thursday

- Mandarin
- Team Assembly 2:15pm

Friday

- Homework due (last one for the year)
Sport (bring sports gear)
- Family Fun Night 6:00 - 8:00pm (please email me if your child can help with the face painting stall for 15 or 30 minutes.  This stall will be run by Senior students)

If i had a pet dragon

If i had a pet dragon i would...

Firstly i would find out if it was friendly. If it was i would keep it for sure, but if it was wild i would go straight to the SPCA,cause i don't want a flying, wild, biting, dangerous, fire breathing dragon in my room! Also i would have no idea what to feed it! Lettuce, spinach or broccoli? But before i would do any of that i would first give it a name! It's hard to tell whether it's a girl or a boy, but i would just go with girl!

Secondly, i would have to wash it everyday in the sink! YUCK! I would also keep it in a box or a cage or something away from my soft toys! But the dragon would be quite a disturbance! How would i do my homework?? When i have free time i would paint it Aqua and Violet, but if it didn't like that i would teach it how to bake brownies and cook lasgna!

Lastly, i would think how did this dragon get here? There must be a Mother i would think. Then all of a sudden, out of the blue a Mother dragon would crash into my room, take her baby and leave me all alone! So i would never keep a dragon again!

But if i did the Mother would come crashing in again! And that's why i would NOT keep a dragon!
