!RANGITOTO!

WOW! We are going to Rangitoto
On Friday my family and I went to Rangitoto

First we went to Auckland city on the ferry. On the way there we saw a paddle boarder crossing the path of the ferry so the ferry had to slow down to let the paddle boarder past. When we got to the city we went to the cafeteria to buy a caramel slice and a hot chocolate.

Next we went to Devonport to just drop some people of and pick some people up.

After that we went on the ferry to Rangitoto. We were prepared  for the long walk up up the mountain
We started to walk up the mountain. Dad was ready to hear Charlotte moan all the way up but no Charlotte only had one moan and that was it. She lead from the front most of the way. it tok us one whole hour to get to the top but it was worth it. The view was Amazing over the north shore! There was a look out at the top for the soldiers in the WW2 because they thought the Japanese was going to attack. I climbed on top of the look out. We had lunch at the top of the mountain.

Later we went down to the lava cave (they were more like lava tubes) We went down one that led us out the other side, it was dark and Awesome.

Next we walked down to the bottom. Luckily it was down hill so it was much easy. When we got down to the bottom we still had one whole hour until our ferry arrived. We spent that time by walking across the rocky beach. We kept finding rock pools with loads of fish and crabs.

Finally our ferry arrived and we hopped right on and went back to Auckland city to catch our next ferry into half-moon bay. As soon as we got back to half-moon bay we went straight home and had a rest.
