Howick Primary School Speech Competition!

A couple of weeks ago the whole school had to write a speech! We were working on this speech for about four weeks! Then we had to say our speeches in front of the class! From then on the Senior Teachers had to choose the top 3 students who they thought had the best speeches! In Room 1 the three chosen Students were... Jordan,Zoe, and Georgia! The top Room 2 Students were... Douw, Michaela, and Bill! Lastly, the top Room 3 students were... Yvonne, Natalia, and Sophia! Also Stephanie performed as well in the hall next week so that Mrs Callister, Mr Jackson and Mrs Hurley could judge their speeches to see who could represent Howick Primary School for the Interschool Speech Competition which is today. The results were... in Third place was Stephanie with Technology should replace school books!!! In Second place was... Georgia with we should not use plastic bags as much! First Place was... Sophia with everyone should recycle! When I heard that I won I felt really happy but also very nervous because I was only a Year 5 and I would be versing people from other schools in the area! After morning tea I will be saying my speech in front of everybody and I have butterflies in my stomach!   






I have just been back from lunch and I have done the speech competition! There were twelve people from each school like...saint lukes, Owaiwora, Mellons Bay, Cookle bay,ect! We all did our speeches and then the judges made their final decision! dun,dun,dunnnn!!!! It was time to announced the  top three people.In third place was pheobe! In second place was Oscar! And in first place is... Jaedon with... real life is catching up to the movies!I felt really happy for Pheobe,Oscar,Jaedon! they all did really well! even though I didn't win i was still happy because I tried my best and was a good sport! I thank the whole School for suporting me during that time!
