This week we had a strong focus on our values lesson that took a deeper look at how we can 'Choose with Care'. We discussed, role played and gave realistic examples of times we would need to choose the right path to take.
For example, would it be best to stay and laugh along with your friend if they were teasing someone?
A green (good) path would be you standing up to your friend, telling them it's not OK and defending the person who is being teased.
Or... a red (wrong) path would be you standing there, laughing, doing nothing or joining in with the teasing.
We all agreed that red paths are sometimes the easiest to do, especially when the rest of our friends are doing it too, yet they aren't the correct choices to make. Lots of red paths result in us getting into bad habits, which are very hard to break!! have a go at home to talk about some examples that could or have happened with your child at school.
