Hi All,
This week was fantastic! We had the Korean students start and were welcomed by a powhiri with our amazing Kapa Haka group taking the leading. We had the pleasure of listening to everyone's persuasive speeches as well which provided lots of laughs and entertainment. Congratulations to Yvonne, Sophia and Natalia who were chosen as our class finalists. They will be competing against the other Senior classes at HPS, where the winner will get to go to the Interschool Speech Competition. GOOD LUCK GIRLS!
Cross country training has started with a bang! Everyone in Room 3 have made huge improvements in their fitness and dedication towards being the best runner they can be. The Adidas Fun Run will be on Friday, so this is the last week for training. I have emailed through the details of the event in a separate email for you all.
Working towards our goal has been challenging at times, but on the whole, everyone has shown how they are making good choices so that they are co-operatively working with each other. It will be great if you could ask your child about our goal, what they could be doing to achieve this goal both in and out of the classroom. This would also be a suitable goal they could be working on at home when they are interacting with siblings, family members, friends, neighbours etc.
Here are the details for next week:
