Class Newsletter Week 3, Term 2

Hi Everyone,

The weekend has delivered us with some fine but quite chilly weather... I hope you all survived.

On Friday we said farewell to Miss Asiya as she came to the end of her practicum placement in Room 3.  We had a great week as we learnt more interesting facts and now have a better understanding of ANZAC Day.  We finished off what we learnt by using a very exciting and engaging quiz website called Kahoot!  Everyone got very competitive and it's safe to say the noise level was extreme... and a lot of fun was had!!

The zebra crossing has been moved on Willoughby Avenue so that all students and families can cross the road in a safe part of the road and our Road Patrollers, as well as the road users, can all see each other clearly.  I have attached a picture below to show the changes that have been made.  Please can you have a look at this carefully and have a close look at the red lines indicating where our community will need to be walking from now on.  Walking in front of the office block is quite dangerous as cars come and go in this car park.  The only way to now reach the crossing is by walking between Room 5 and 4.  This may mean walking further than what we are all used to, but this is the safest option.  Also, crossing across the car park entry is not allowed as this is also highly dangerous with cars coming and going.  In the Senior School we are always encouraging them to be the role models for the younger ones, so I hope you can come on board with us.
