Hi Everyone,
This week was a great way to kick off our new chapter book reading. It is lovely to have each child engrossed in a captivating story. There are times when I glance up (and I can pull myself away from my own book) and see each student completely fixed on their book. Sometimes it's hard to find just the right book but we are getting there.
Our amazing student teacher, Miss Asiya has had her first week with us and she has been getting to know the students very quickly and also helping out with lessons and feedback. She is a great addition.
Also starting this week, we have a new girl in Year 5 and her name is Hala. Everyone has made her feel welcome and she has settled into Room 3 with ease.
There will be no HomeFun Project next week because it is a shorter week and things get a bit rushed as the term comes to an end. Spelling HomeFun however will be given out and will be due back in on Thursday. They need to be tested on their spelling list 4x during the week.
Here are the details for the upcoming week:
Monday
- Senior School sharing their HomeFun from Term 1
- Netball trials for the children of the parents I have emailed earlier on today (remember sports gear and sneakers)
Tuesday
- Senior Sport - all students in the Whanau group needs to have their hat and sports gear to get Whanau points
